Newborn Photoshoot Service
From birth until about about two weeks, that baby that has just came out of the womb is at his tiniest. He would posses those sweet loving looks, cute little fingers and toes, and pure innocence. After the second week, such looks are all just memories. After a year, those memories are gone.
If your the mom or the dad, you wouldn't want that. What you want is a really good photo of your baby - so that such memories live forever.
At St. John Photo Studio, we strive to give mom and dad this photo of their child via our Newborn Photoshoot Service.
Many years after the photoshoot, this newborn photo can still bring happiness to everyone, especially to the child that was photographed - because it was a recording of how he looked like in the beginning.
About the Photoshoot
We already designed several Newborn Portrait Setups so that it is easier for you to see the sort of photos you will get from this service. Each of these setups has very few props so your baby really stands out. To view, click here.
Each of these setups was shot using props and lighting equipment available at our studio.
In this photoshoot service, we will put up lighting equipment specifically built for newborn babies. Such equipment will use constant-on light (85 Watts), instead of the flashing strobe (300 Watts). This is because we do not want your baby's still delicate eyes getting hurt by strobe's intense and instantaneous burst of light.
What Sort of Photos Do You Get From the Photoshoot ?
Our resident photographer will:
- Give you all the straight-out-of-camera (SOOC) image files at the end of the photoshoot, provided the service fee is fully settled and you have a flash drive.
- Crop or lightly retouch all clean shots and format each for best viewing in social media. We'll send these to you on your Google Drive within five (5) days after the photoshoot.
- Fully retouch three (3) best shots (of your own choosing/advice) - that is, one best shot from each of the three portrait setups. We will format each for best printing and send these to you via Google Drive within seven (7) days after your advice.
In lieu of our resident photographer, you may want to be photographed in our studio by our guest photographers - see them here. Note that they may charge a different service fee and discount and may give you different set of photos, so please discuss this matter with them.
Service Fee
If you hire our resident photographer, our service fee starts at P3,000.00 - more elaborate scenes and other special arrangement may have additional fee.
Good news! We are currently giving 50% discount if you will allow us to (a) record a short decent video of your child's photoshoot and (b) upload this video and your child's really-good photos on the Internet. Immediately avail of this discount as this may be terminated anytime without prior notice.
Booking Fee
Please pay booking fee of P300.00 one (1) week before the shoot. Because this covers our expenses on shoot preparation, this is non-refundable but is deductible from the service fee.
How to Prepare for the Shoot
We will strive to make your baby look very lovable in photographs. But it is not all up to us - you have to help us achieve this. Start with these:
- If you wish to have your baby photographed as he sleeps (which is what we recommend), set as our appointment that time of the day when he goes into his deepest sleep.
- Come to the studio about thirty (30) minutes before the appointment time so your baby gets acclimated in our studio.
- Feed your baby about thirty (30) minutes before the appointment time so your baby won't be woken up by hunger.
- Have a few things ready — a pacifier, a bottle of formula/breastmilk, a swaddling blanket, and a few clean diapers.
- Make sure you come prepared to be in a few of the photos. Wear neutral colors like cream, beige, gray, brown, and white.
