Maternity Photoshoot Service

Finely-photographed portraits of a woman carrying her precious child in her womb can be a wonderful remembrance not only for this woman, but also to the child and the child's father.
Many years after the photoshoot, these pregnancy photos can still bring happiness to everyone, especially to the child that was in the womb - because it will always remind him of how much he has always been loved by mom and dad from the very beginning of life.
We, at St. John Photo Studio, strive to give the expecting couple such photos via our Maternity Photoshoot Service. This couple often wants this photoshoot to be done as close to the ninth month of pregnancy as possible so mom can manage to pose safely and the bump is quite big.

About the Photoshoot
In this service, we already designed several setups for Maternity Portrait Photoshoot so that it is easier for you to see the sort of photos you will get from this service. Each setup has very few props so that the "bump" is the main attraction of the photos. To view these setups, click this.
You can make the photo more appealing by:
- Wearing clothing that best accentuate the bump - making it look really big.
- Putting on clean, fresh, natural looking-makeup.
- Not wearing accessories that attract too much attention.

We will put up a photography lighting setup specifically designed for photographing a pregnant woman and give posing instructions so the baby bump really stands out in the photos.
We will take as many shots as possible until we find one where mom looks her best. We will also take as many breaks as possible so that mom does not get tired.
What Sort of Photos Do You Get From the Photoshoot ?
Our resident photo editor will:
- Clean and lightly retouch all good photos. We will format each for best viewing in social media (72ppi, sRGB color space).
- Fully retouch two (2) best shots - of your own choosing/advice. We will also format each for best printing (300ppi, RGB color space).
We will send the image files to you via Google Drive within seven (7) days after the photoshoot, provided all fees have been paid. To conserve limited disk space, please download immediately because we purge these files after a month.
What Sort of Print Do You Get From the Photoshoot ?
We will have one of your maternity pictures printed using the acrylic printing technology from Japan. As such, this print is going to be glossy and vibrant, and will look like "luxurious crystal porcelain painting". It can resist humidity, moisture, ultraviolet (UV) light, dust and abrasions - allowing its vibrant color to last for decades. Your pic in this print is going to be a great addition to your living room.
We will have this picture printed by Himenart - Studio with size 12x16 inches. If you want it to be larger, we will gladly share P600 from HimenArt's listed price. For more information about them, click this.

How to Prepare for the Shoot
We will strive to make expecting mom look stunning in the photographs. But it is not all up to us - you have to help us achieve this. Start with these:
- Do not do anything exhausting the day before the photoshoot – you will look tired in photos.
- Do not drink alcohol the night before – you will be dehydrated making your skin wrinkly and reddish and your eyes puffy.
- Drink lots of water – hydration will make your skin glow and look fabulous.
- Have a good night sleep.
- Have a good meal before going into the shoot.
- Wear makeup. If you are not good with makeup, hire a makeup artist and ask him to:
- To give you either a CFN (clean, fresh, natural) look.
- Use makeup foundation that matches facial skin.
- DO NOT use white facial powder or cream – you will end up looking like the ghost Casper.
- DO NOT to have cheeks that look like a red or pink lipstick has been rubbed on them - the sort you see on a bar girl.
- Use a concealer to (a) minimize heavy age spots/wrinkles and scars and (b) eliminate blemishes.
- If you wish to hire hair/makeup artist, please see portfolio of those who have worked with us in the past - click this.
- Bring to the studio several of your best clothes and we'll help you choose which one most fits you or gives you the best look.
