A finely-photographed portrait of the family's most precious baby, who is barely one year old, gives you, mom and dad, a lot to smile about.

Many years after the photoshoot, this photo can still bring happiness not only to you (parents) but also to your child, because it is a record of how adorable he looked like at that time of his life.

At St. John Photo Studio, we strive to give you this photo of your child (aged one month up to about one year old) via our Infant Photoshoot Service. Most parents often want this photoshoot to be done in time for their child's Christening or first birthday celebration so that they can use the photos as part of the invitation card or the party's banner.

About the Photoshoot

In this photoshoot service, we will do the following:

1. Headshot Portrait Photoshoot
2. Full body Portrait Photoshoot
3. Conceptual Photoshoot

Headshot

Here, we will put up a photography lighting setup specifically built for taking both headshots and half-body shots. We'll position the strobe light to throw a lot of soft light on your child's face and at the same time spill some low intensity light on his upper torso. Because his face will fill most of the frame, he has to give us his best smile, laugh, grin, smirk, etc - whichever he likes giving out.

Full body Portrait Photoshoot

We already designed several setups for Infant Full-body Portrait Photoshoot. Each setup has very few props; as such, your kid - his face, facial expression and body poses - are the main attraction of the photos. To view these setups, click this.

Here, we will put up photography lighting setup specifically built for taking full-body shots. We will position the strobe light to throw a lot of light on your baby's clothes and spill just enough light on his face. Because this lighting setup is really being used for a fashion photoshoot, have him wear his best set of clothes.

You may want to include here a real cake which your baby can eat and smash on as we are taking the shots. Cake-smashing photography is the cutest thing in the world.

Conceptual Photoshoot

We already designed several theme-based setups for our Infant Conceptual Photoshoot so that it is easier for you to see the sort of photos you will get from this service. To view, click this.

We designed each setup with lots of props so that when your baby is placed at the center of it, he will want to stay there and play, thus allowing us to photograph him candidly. Being concept-based, the photos that will come out are meaningful and entertaining.

What Sort of Photos Do You Get From the Photoshoot ?

Our resident photo editor will:

1. Clean and lightly retouch all good photos. We will format each for best viewing in social media (72ppi, sRGB color space).
2. Fully retouch three (3) best shots - of your own choosing/advice. We will also format each for best printing (300ppi, RGB color space).

We will send the image files to you via Google Drive within seven (7) days after the photoshoot, provided all fees have been paid. To conserve limited disk space, please download immediately because we purge these files after a month.

What Sort of Print Do You Get From the Photoshoot ?

We will have your child's picture printed using the acrylic printing technology from Japan. As such, this print is going to be glossy and vibrant, and will look like "luxurious crystal porcelain painting". It can resist humidity, moisture, ultraviolet (UV) light, dust and abrasions - allowing its vibrant color to last for decades. Your pic in this print is going to be a great addition to your living room.

Service Fee

Shown here are our packages and their rates if you hire our resident photographer. Additional fee is required where the setup uses exhaustible items like fresh flowers, balloons, etc.

Good news! We are currently giving 10% discount if you will allow us to (a) record a short decent video of your photoshoot and (b) upload this video and the photos from this shoot on the Internet (for commercial purposes). Immediately avail of this discount as this may be terminated anytime without prior notice.

When to Get in Touch with Us ?

Please send us a message at least two (2) weeks before your intended day of the photoshoot.

But if your photoshoot is event-related (e.g. baptism, birthday, etc.), message us at least one (1) month before the event. This will give us time to:

• Create the digital invitation video
• Create the wall banner and have it tarpaulin-printed
• Create the welcome banner and have it tarpaulin-printed
• Design the souvenir attachment

Because of the heavy work involved, we only accept two (2) photoshoots per week - the first to come will be the first to get the slot.

Booking Fee

Please pay booking fee of P300.00 one (1) week before the shoot. Because this covers our expenses on shoot preparation, this is non-refundable but is deductible from the service fee.

How to Prepare for the Shoot

We will strive to make your child look adorable in photographs. But it is not all up to us - you have to help us achieve this. Start with these:

• Being an infant, getting your child to look at our camera with even a faint smile is quite difficult. As such, we need your help by placing yourself behind our photographer and playing all sorts of antics just to get him to smile or even just glance at the camera.
• Based on experience, a child warmingly responds with children he frequently plays with. Please bring these kids along with you.
• Bring baby's food, extra diapers, etc.
